USAC TQ WIN TO ALEXANDER

Lancaster, California…(September 6, 1992) Steve Alexander put the cap on a productive effort by leading the Copenhangen/Skoal USAC TQ Midget Series feature start-to-finish Sunday at Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

Alexander earned his spot in the 30-lap feature field by steering his own mount to victory in the second of four eight-lap preliminary heats. He outran Kenny White in the finale. Walt Johnson was third, Guy Barber fourth and Rick Atkins fifth. White and Johnson also won preliminaries.

Mike Sweeney copped the other heat, but he was not a factor in the main, finishing seventh.
