  • 1990-1994
    - Alexander Racing had campaigned with the TQ Midgets since 1990. One of our first races was at the legendary Ascot Park in Gardena. Steve Alexander was our driver and later with the help of Mark Priestley, we had a great combination that was a threat to win the championship.

  • 1995
    - We started the season, just as before in the TQs with Steve Alexander handling the driver duties. We had purchased a Sprint Car from good friend Danny P and would run 5 Sprint Car Shows with SCRA - The Sprint Car Racing Association. While leading in TQ points, we debuted our Sprinter at Ventura Raceway on August 18th. On one occasion, JJ Yeley drove our Sprint Car to stay in the points hunt. JJ drove the car in our team's first Sprint Car Main Event.

  • 1996
    - Our first full season in Sprint Cars would have Steve Alexander handling the driver duties. This season was a learning experience for us after moving up from the TQ ranks. Steve made his first main event on July 6th at Bakersfield. For our last 6-8 races, veteran driver Mike English took over. Our season highlight came on November 15th at Bakersfield, when Mike won the 1996 Wagsdash.

  • 1997
    - The 1997 Season promised great things, as we teamed with Mark Priestley, and with Llumar Window Films as as our title sponsor. We would field an occasional two car effort with Mike English and Steve Alexander behind the wheel. Later in the season, we went to one car with veteran driver Rusty McClure from Ohio taking over for Steve.

  • 1998
    - The 1998 Campaign had us continuing with Rusty McClure. While based in the Midwest, Rusty would fly out to the west coast and we would run a limited schedule. On occasion, Steve Alexander would run in Rusty's absence. On one night at Tulare, "Hotfoot" Troy Cline jumped in the Alexander Sprinter, after his normal ride blew an engine. Steve entered in the Wagsdash and finished a respectable sixth.

  • 1999
    - The 1999 Season started with Rusty McClure back behind the wheel of the Alexander Sprinter. Our team would still run a limited schedule, but were looking forward to moving up the ranks of SCRA. Later, "The Shermanator" Jeremy Sherman joined our team and Rusty drove for Tom and Laurie Sertich's Moose Racing. Things were still looking up for us, however Jeremy would soon get an opportunity to race more often in the Midwest. We were without a driver, but soon the job was given to J Hicks. J debuted the car at Santa Maria on July 10th, where he won his heat race against a stout field, and finished a respectable 11th in the Main Event. Perhaps the highlight of the year came at the Wagsdash at Jim Naylor's Ventura Raceway on October 16th, where J was victorious.

  • 2000
    - The "Flying Canuck" J. Hicks campaigned the Alexander #89 Sprinter for the majority of the season. J did a great job, with perhaps the highlight being at the Tulare Thunderbowl on July 22, where he won the Passing Masters Dash. "Flash" Jordan Hermansader was behind the wheel for the year end Charity Challenge at Phoenix's Manzanita Speedway. Our team & J. finished 13th in the Final 2000 Owner & Driver Points Standings.

  • 2001
-Alexander Racing teamed with the Brad Guerin/Mike Kirby Team to form M&B Racing. The combination was a top team and a threat to win on any given night. In May, "Super" Rickie Gaunt joined the team in a 2 car effort for a potent one-two punch. Both cars ran consistently towards the front, with Mike winning at Perris, Wichita, and Tulare.

  • 2002
-"Super" Rickie Gaunt was behind the wheel for the 2002 Season. After a rough start, the team gained momentum and Rickie finished 5th in SCRA Driver Points. Gaunt had 2 dramatic wins at Perris Auto Speedway, with the highlight coming on July 4th, where he was victorious after starting 17th. Another season highlight came on March 9th, when Ashland, Ohio's Rusty McClure returned to drive for us at Perris Auto Speedway.

  • 2003
-The 2003 Season opened with optimism to improve on a breakout 2002 Season. After a disappointing start, hopes for a championship run faded. Mike Kirby subbed for Rickie Gaunt (on vacation) and won at Perris on July 12th. Later, a mutual decision was made and Gaunt and the team parted ways. "Flash" Jordan Hermansader drove the car at the VRA 360 Nationals at Perris and he earned a direct transfer to the Finale. He was running 3rd before a muffler became dislodged that ended the night. Cory Kruseman scored a victory at his debut with the team at Ventura's Bagley Classic . He backed that performance up with a win at Perris a week later. Jeremy Sherman and Mike English subbed, with English reaching the podium on his first night in the car. Mike Kirby won a Western World prelim at Manzanita Speedway and Kruseman won the Passing Masters Dash and finished 4th at the Jack Kindoll Classic. Overall, the team finished 5th in SCRA Points and captured 4 Main Event Wins on the season.

  • 2004
"The Kruser" Cory Kruseman won 5 Main Events (4-USAC/CRA & 1 SCRA) in the Alexander #4, including Manzanita Speedway's Sokola Classic Finale and the SCRA Opener at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway. The team's season highlight came at Skagit Speedway's preliminary night, where the team had a 1-2 finish, with Cory winning and teammate "Flash" Jordan Hermansader taking second. Jordan had best sprint car season to date in the Alexander Sprinter, scoring numerous top 5 finishes. His first career sprint car podium came at Perris on June 19th. Overall, the team finished 4th in the USAC/CRA Points Standings.

  • 2005
Mike Kirby rejoined Alexander Motorsports and had 2 wins, coming at Manzanita and Santa Maria Speedways. In addition, he set fast time at Ventura on September 10th. Shortly after, Mike and the team parted ways. "The Shermanator" Jeremy Sherman was hard charger at Manzanita on Sep. 24th. Jerry Coons Jr., came on board and had several podium finishes. In addition, "Flash" Jordan Hermansader returned for the conclusion of 2005. The Alexander Team finished 4th in the USAC/CRA Points Standings.

  • 2006
"The Cowboy" Tony Jones signed on with Alexander Motorsports in 2006. The combination finished third in series points and Tony ended the year as the hottest driver on the USAC/CRA circuit. Jones was particularly fast at Perris where he won eight main events including the season-ending Jack Kindoll Classic, Salute To Indy, Legends of Ascot Night, Bagley Classic, Jim Short/Shav Glick Night, and an Oval Nationals Prelim. Tony scored four fast times and also notched 20 Top-5 finishes.

  • 2007
"The Cowboy" Tony Jones and Alexander Racing earned the 2007 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series Championship. Tony had 5 Main Event victories (tied for most on the circuit), but missed one race after a crash at Perris on Sept. 1st. To stay in the points chase, Cory Kruseman subbed at Ventura and won the main event. Among the wins for the team was the Firecracker 40, several TV races at Perris and at Las Vegas.

  • 2008
"The Cowboy" Tony Jones won 6 USAC/CRA Main Events (tops on the circuit), including the season ending Glenn Howard Memorial at Perris Auto Speedway on November 29th. After the race, Tony announced his retirement from Sprint Car Racing. Overall, Tony and the Alexanders finished 4th in the USAC/CRA points, despite running a limited schedule.

  • 2009
"Dynamite" David Cardey signed on with Alexander Motorsports in 2009. After the USAC National & USAC/CRA Sprints "Western Speed Week" at Manzanita, Las Vegas, and Perris, the #4 car was parked. On March 28th, "The Cowboy" Tony Jones came out of retirement and returned with the team at Perris Auto Speedway. Alexander Racing is actively searching for sponsors to help challenge for the USAC/CRA Championship. The majority of last year's sponsors will return, with many sponsorship opportunities still available with the team.

A special thanks goes out to all of our fine sponsors and fans.
We could not race without you.
